- לָשַׁןHif. הִלְשִׁין (b. h.; denom. of לָשוֹן) to slander, speak evil of. Esth. R. to III, 9 עמד שטן וה׳ עליהםוכ׳ Satan arose and denounced them (the Israelites) before the Lord. Ex.
